Kim’s background is in the healing arts, with areas of study ranging from Massage Therapy to Chinese Medicine. Later, as a student of the Rhodec International School of Interior Design, she became acutely aware of the difference in an environment that looks good ascetically as opposed to an environment that actually nourishes our well-being. She started reading every book she could find on the subject of Feng Shui and then attended and graduated from the three year BTB (Black Tantric Buddhist) Masters Training Program, studying the teachings of Professor Lin Yun under teachers Steven Post, Barry Gordon and Edgar Sung. She has also attended many advanced Feng Shui workshops by various teachers, including Seann Xenja, Richard Feather Anderson, Roger Green and others.
Kim is an award-winning author and has written ongoing Feng Shui columns for several newspapers, including the Napa Valley Register and the Santa Barbara NewsPress. She has authored a variety of very popular blogs, including The Coffee Shop Diary along with co-publishing her first novel and screenplay, Nine Degrees North, in March of 2013. Kim recently finished her second screenplay, Twenty-One Sunsets. Her passion for writing is complemented by her experience in a variety of fields, such as Feng Shui, Chinese medicine, multi-media art and design. She is currently working on a novel, Letters From York and has a book in the works about Feng Shui combined with other modalities, entitled Life by Design – creating and living the life you desire.
Located in Santa Barbara, California, Kim currently practices as a Certified Feng Shui Consultant, working with both residential and corporate environments. She is also a Certified Health Coach and has clients ranging from the Napa Valley to Miami. (Kim Klein, www.kimkleinfengshui.com, or on Facebook at, Kim Klein Fusion Feng Shui.
